Explore the heart of Tuscany on your terms, by bicycle. You are sure to lose your sense of time cycling through fields of red poppies and sunflowers ending your day by the pool with a crisp glass of Chianti Classico. This region, best known as the heart of the Renaissance, is fully enjoyed as we witness the long cultural history dating back to the days of the Etruscan, Tuscany's as well as Italy's original in habitants.

xxxDay 1-2
Countryside Ride, Sleepy Villages
breakfastdinner

From Talamone’s 15th century fortress we loop into the countryside of wheat fields, rows of cypress, wineries and sleepy villages; then our first Tuscan feast. From these shores rife in history, our path leads to stunning medieval Magliano, surrounded by olive trees and concealedby its historic walls. En route enjoy the lush Maremma Nature Reserve.
Lodgings for two nights at a family run farm/winery offering us the unique experience associated with the agriturismo.

  • Dinner: Along the waters edge.

Day 4-5
Orbetello Lagoon & Porto Ecole
breakfastdinner

Ride to Capalbio, whose roots go back to 805 A.D. Walk its cobble-stoned streets and marvel the coastal views over gelato. It is here where Buffalo Bill suffered his first defeat; curious indeed. Glide down to the coast to the Orbetello Lagoon past the ancient watch tower and into the thick pine to the sandy white beaches of Porto Ercole

  • Lodgings are in a 3-star albergo within the medieval walls. The atmosphere and hotel views are magical & there are lots of fun cafés and romantic quaint squares.
  • Dinner: Excellent trattoria specializing in local favorites like saffron sauces & wild boar
