Every region of Italy - and some large cities like Rome - has its own particular gastronomy. The Romans do it the Roman way - and what a way it is!Our chef, Chef Fabio Bongianni, is a master in the arts of Italian cooking but his specialization are the meals he can create in his own kitchens.
The Roman Kitchen has two wonderful cooking class options that you can enjoy during your stay in Rome:
- Spanish Steps - Chef Fabio's large and bright aparment overlooks the famous Spanish steps. Students (up to 6 people) work directly with Chef Fabio in his large, well-equipped kitchen. Before the class begins, the chef will take you to the local market to select the food you want to cook. After your pleasant labors, you will eat the food with a glass (or two) of delicious wine chosen especially for the menu.
Prices: full day - 130 Euro/person (max 6 people)
- Mazzano Romano - This picturesque little town - the site of Chef Fabio's villa - is about 30 kilometers from Rome. You will be picked up and taken to the villa and returned after the class. Again you will visit a local market but this time in the village of Calcata or perhaps Monte Gelato. The villa has a beautiful kitchen and also a garden where you can enjoy your feast al fresco.
Prices: full day - 150 Euro/person (max 6 people)
