  • At the bottom of the steps across the street from the Entrance of the Vatican Museums. The steps are located right next to Caffè Vaticano on the corner of Viale Vaticano and Via Tunisi.
Important Notes

This service ends at St. Peter’s Basilica in St. Peter’s Square.
• This tour involves a fair amount of walking, comfortable shoes are recommended.
• It is the individual responsibility of all visitors to arrive at the tour departure point.
• We are able to accommodate guests with wheelchairs on our private tours. We ask that clients leave a note in their booking alerting us ahead of time. Guests may provide their own wheelchairs or may arrange to pick one up at the Vatican.
• Entrance into the Vatican requires a strict dress code. Shoulders and knees must be covered, no low cut or sleeveless tops or shorts for both men and women. Clients that do not adhere to the dress code will not be permitted entry to the Vatican. Dark Rome cannot be held responsible for entry denied due to improper dress.
• Access to St. Peter’s Square and Basilica may be closed on Wednesdays due to the Papal Audience.

Redemption Information

  • Clients must arrive at the designated meeting point 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time and present their tour voucher to the tour coordinator/guide. Late arrivals will not be able to catch up with the group and no refunds will be given for those who arrive after departure time.
  • *This tour has multiple departure times. Departure time must be selected by guest at the time of booking. Only one departure time may be selected per booking. Departure times are not interchangeable.

Getting There

  • The closest Metro stop is Line A (Ottaviano - Musei Vaticani).
    Arriving from Ottaviano - Musei Vaticani Metro A Station:

    Exit the turnstiles - walk straight to the back end of the station and go to the left side exit. Once you've reached the left side exit - exit at V.le Giulio Cesare (to your right). Exit Station and walk down V.le G. Cesare to street light, cross the street and take left on Via Leone IV. Take right on Via Sebastiano Veniero and go 1 ½ blocks.

    The meeting point is situated at the BOTTOM of the wide staircase.
    Arriving from St. Peter's Square:

    As you face St. Peter's Basilica turn right, exit the piazza and follow the Vatican walls around toward the entrance to the Vatican Museums. The walls should be on your left side. Follow the walls up Viale Vaticano until you reach the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Across the street you will see Via Tunisi and Cafe' Vaticano.

    The groups meet at the BOTTOM of this staircase.

  • Please notify driver to arrive at the "Ingresso dei Musei Vaticani on Viale Vaticano" Our meeting point is across the street from the Museum entrance located at the BOTTOM of the wide staircase next to Café Vaticano.
