The B&B Casa di Orazio is located in the medieval hill town of Roccagiovine, not far from Rome. The surrounding area is incorporated into the highly forested Parco Regionale Naturale Dei Monti Lucretili. The villa of the ancient poet Quinto Orazio Flacco is in nearby Mecenate, accessible on foot from the B&B.
The Bed & Breakfast, takes its name from the great poet, is found in the heart of the town on a cobbled alley that leads to the church. It sits beside the Orsini Castle and overlooks a piazzetta owned by the two sisters who run the B&B.
The 4 rooms are comfortable and well-furnished and have views over the surrounding park. Each room features a private bathroom with a bath and shower. Guests are treated to an ample and tasty breakfast every day.
The Casa di Orazio is a comfortable and quiet place to stay while discovering the park and surrounding countryside. The owners can offer suggestions and advice for walking tours in the park, and for site-seeing in the local area.
