Have you ever wondered what
it would be like to be a
king or queen and live in a
real castle? Lake Trasimeno
Castle, a fairy tale
Medieval castle, is located
on the borders of Tuscany
and Umbria on the shore of
lake Trasimeno. The castle
comfortably sleeps fourteen
guests and is situated in a
nine acre park full of trees
and flowers. Guests will
marvel at the castle's
Renaissance arches, stone
façade, and tower.
Here guests will find
endless possibilities for
whiling away the days. Golf,
horseback riding, fishing,
swimming (there is a private
swimming pool and tennis
courts) billiards, not to
mention learning a thing or
two about history. The first
stones for Lake Trasimeno
Castle were laid in the
first century when only the
tower existed! In the
fifteenth century it was
transformed into a fortified
advance post for the army.
In 1745 the castle was
transformed again, this time
used more as a residence.
The resident list even
includes several popes!
If you are planning a
special wedding, the castle
is often used for such
festive occasions. If you
have a lengthy guest list,
the owners have
accommodations for thirty
five more guests in a
Medieval borgo which is only
two kilometers away. Please

Trasimeno Castle and have
the experience of a
lifetime!
On the main floor there is a
comfortably furnished living
room with open fireplace and
billiards as well as a
dining room. The sitting
room has cable TV. The
castle interiors are
decorated with splendid
frescoes in the living room
and in some of the bedrooms
which are tastefully
furnished with elegant
pieces of furniture.
There is a spacious Tuscan
kitchen which is fully
equipped with stove, oven,
fridge, freezer, dishwasher,
and washing machine. A half
bath completes the main
floor.
The second floor opens up to
a large entrance leading to
a living room with an open
fireplace and outstanding
views of the lake. There is
one queen bedroom with en
suite bathroom, another
queen bedroom, and one
single bedroom that share a
full bath.
The third floor has one
queen bedroom, three
bedrooms with two twin beds
in each, and one single
bedroom. Two full baths
complete this floor.
Adjacent to the pool area is
a half bath, a shower and a
small bar area.
Lake Trasimeno Castle is a
unique experience in a
beautiful atmosphere. Daily
maid service is included in
the weekly rate and upon
request there is the
possibility of hiring a chef
for evening meals for an
extra charge.
