This charming vacation
villa is located in the
village of SS.
Annunziata on the
outskirts of Lucca.
Villa Patrizia has
sections dating to the
15th and 18th century.
The home has been
tastefully and
beautifully restored by
the owner, an artist and
traditional "lucchese"
fabric designer with a
shop on the villa
grounds. Many of the
owner's fabrics are used
throughout the villa.
The home has terra cotta
tile floors and many
original frescoes which
have never been
retouched. Beautiful
furnishings and great
attention to detail are
evident throughout this
stately home.
The villa
has a lovely Italian
garden and is surrounded
by mature trees and an
ancient wall. A swimming
pool with adjoining
terrace was just
completed in January of
2004, and has been
furnished with lounges
and sun bathing
furniture. Three
friendly dogs and a cat
live on the property.
The price includes a
wonderful traditional
Tuscan welcome dinner
upon arrival Saturday
evening.
The
ground floor of Villa
Patrizia consists of an
entrance hall/salon
seating area with baby
grand piano, living room
with satellite TV, large
dining room with a
magnificent antique
sideboard, breakfast
room and kitchen.
The
large kitchen is
equipped with stove,
oven, refrigerator,
dishwasher, and
microwave. A separate
laundry area has a
combination
washer/dryer. 12 people
can be accommodated in
the 6 gracious bedrooms.
On the ground floor you
find 2 bedrooms. The
first is a bedroom/study
with a high quality
queen sofabed with
adjoining full bath with
shower, and the second
bedroom has 2 twin beds
with bath ensuite.
Upstairs you will find 4
queen bedrooms, 1 with ensuite bath with
jacuzzi and shower and
another with ensuite
bath with shower. The
third and fourth
bedrooms share an
adjacent bath with
shower. There is another
salon/sitting area on
this floor. The entire
Villa is
air-conditioned.
Here in
the heart of one of many
wine-producing areas of
Italy, your
home-away-from-home is
an ideal location for
short jaunts to the most
renowned sites of
Tuscany. Florence is
less than an hour away
by car, and Forte dei
Marmi for golf and the
famous beaches of the
Medtiterranean only a
half hour. Pietrasanta,
the artists' town is a
must see. Pisa and
Carrara and the
Michelangelo marble
caves are nearby as
well.
