Independent farmhouse
situated at about 1 km from
Radda in Chianti with all
facilities, shops and public
tennis courts. The house is
reached by about 500 meters
of dirt track that continues
past it and ends at a
farmhouse about 1km further
along. The road is
inadvisable for low
vehicles.
Surrounded by woods, the
house is in a peaceful
position and offers ample
opportunities for nature
walks. In front of the main
entrance is a paved patio
with garden furniture and
barbecue. There is a 5 x
10m, above-ground swimming
pool attached to a second
paved patio at the rear of
the house that is for
exclusive guest use. There
is a separate restored barn
with independent entrance
and private garden space
with private pool where the
owners are occasionally
present.
Private entrance is up
one step into a hall
with door on the right
to the spacious
living/dining room with
open hearth fireplace
and kitchen corner that
is fully equipped with
gas range, oven and
fridge with freezer. It
has a characteristic
stone washbasin. The
living and dining areas
are separated by an open
arch. In the living area
is a door that remains
closed. From the
entrance hall a flight
of stairs leads up to a
first floor landing with
door to a utilities room
where the garden
furniture is kept. To
the left of the landing
is a hall that leads to
a double bedroom, to a
complete bathroom with
half bath and shower
attachment, to a twin
bedded room, and to 2
doors that lead to the
attic and that remain
closed. The living area
has national TV and DVD.
To
the right of the
landing, up 6 steps is a
second landing with
doors to a double
bedroom, to a twin
bedded room (the beds
can be connected on
request) with a ramp of
wooden steps that leads
to the covered terrace
just under the roof
where a ping pong table
is located and that
offers spectacular
views, and to a complete
bathroom with half bath
and shower attachment.
The house is simply
furnished and offers a
wood oven for baking
bread and pizzas, baby
cot, and small animals
are allowed. There is a
washing machine
available and the owner
charges a small fee for
its use.
