Location
This hotel's best selling point is its ideal location. It is situated twenty metres from the Duomo, ten metres from Piazza Repubblica, a two minute walk from Ponte Vecchio and a five minute walk from the train station. Dante Alighieri's (Italy's most famous author) house is a stone's throw away.
Rooms
The rooms are small with basic furniture, some with a view over the Duomo. Rooms and bathrooms are in need of renovation.
Restaurant
There is no restaurant. The breakfast room is situated on the same floor as the lobby and offers lovely views over the roof tops of Florence.
Exterior
This is a tall seven storey palazzo in the traditional Italian style. It blends in well with the surrounding buildings.
Lobby
The lobby is small and located on the fifth floor. It can be reached by using the hotel's only lift or by using the stairs.
General
In the summer the hotel opens its rooftop terrace where guests can relax, sunbathe or simply enjoy the spectacular view of the Duomo which appears almost close enough to touch. There is no doubt that this family run hotel is in some need of refurbishment, however, this hotel offers excellent value for money.
