Castle Sul Mare is a small castle recently restored, 1000 year old site of a Roman outpost, five terraces, incredible breathtaking panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside, mountains, seaside, island of Gorgona and gulf of Portovenere. It is also located in the heart of the most creative artistic area in Tuscany, the Apuan mountains and the marble caves of Carrara, the sculpture stone studios and bronze art foundries of Pietrasanta where world-wide artists, like Botero and Mitoraj just to name a few come to work.

Castle Sul Mare comprises of two apartments connected by a garden. They are equipped with hi-tech facilities, interior decoration with the best modern Italian designed furniture.

Main apartment: The main castle apartment has one double bedroom with ensuite full bathroom with bath and shower, a living room, dining room and groovy kitchen, storage room and toilette. This apartment has a washing machine, dishwasher, fireplace. It's equipped with satellite television, internet access, hi-fi and many others facilities.

Dependance: The castle dependance has a living room/dining room with a kitchen corner, double bedroom and full bathroom with shower. Modern appliances, fridge, satellite tv, internet access. There is a sofa bed in the living room if you wanted to sleep two additional people.

This luxurious castle is surrounded by an antique wall and olive groves. The apartments are surrounded by green gardens with fruit trees and flowers, there is also a vegetable garden where in the summer, are grown fresh tomatoes, salad, onions, cucumbers, string beans, courgettes, eggplants, peppers, basil, etc. There is a pool above ground, five terraces one of which is a wonderful sun deck with a sun worshipping mosaic. Terraces and gardens are fully equipped with sun deck chairs, umbrella, tables and chairs, barbeque, etc.

Castle Sul Mare is only 3 minutes walk on an old stone road through the very quiet old village of Monteggiori, beautiful walking paths outside the village. In order to bring up luggage and shopping we have a trucked vehicle which the lady in charge of the house can drive. Monteggiori is located in front of the Tyrrhenian sea, the Apuan Alps at the back.
