A jewel of the Tuscan countryside, Castello delle Serre majestically sits at the top of the charming medieval town of Serre di Rapolano. This is the passage into the Crete Senesi, the area that has sparked the worldwide love affair with Tuscany.

The design theory at Castello delle Serre is based on devotion to preservation of the grandiose past with a tasteful infusion of modern comforts.

All accommodations offer oversized private bathrooms. All bathrooms are finished in fine Italian marbles or Travertine stone, characteristic of the local area. All accommodations offer heat, air conditioning, hair dryer, adsl cat5 jack, telephone for external calls and daily maid service.

Breakfast is included in the listed price per night, along with all taxes. Breakfast is served daily and includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, croissant, jams, juice, coffee or tea.

• DOUBLE ROOMS are ideal for two guests. These rooms offer orthopaedic matrimonial beds and private bathrooms.

• DELUXE DOUBLE ROOMS are more spacious than the standard double. These rooms are large enough that a single bed can be added to accommodate a third person. Deluxe doubles also offer orthopaedic matrimonial beds and private bathrooms.

• SUITES are larger than deluxe doubles and have a sitting area. There are three suites in total. Some suites offer sofa-beds that can be opened to accommodate an additional two guests. All feature orthopaedic matrimonial beds and private bathrooms.

• DELUXE SUITE is our Upper Tower Suite. This Deluxe Suite offers a private roof top terrace and 360 degree views of Southern Tuscany. This is our only three-level suite, one level is sitting area, the second is the bedroom and the third is the terrace. The sitting area has a sofa-bed that can be opened to accommodate and additional two guests. The suite features orthopaedic matrimonial bed and private bathroom.

Amenities

Castello delle Serre offers a unique black bottom swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan hills, equipped with comfortable designer lawn chairs and pool towel service. Next to the pool is the alfresco-loggia featuring bar and stone tables with wrought iron chairs. Perched next to the pool area is an intimate gazebo bordered by white marble coulombs wrapped in wisteria vine, with outdoor sofa and chairs.

The property includes a centuries old park that wraps around half of the village’s historic center. Facing the ancient defense walls of the town is our café lounge and tennis court.

When we have enough guests interested in dinner service prepared by us, we do offer a fixed course menu, here on property. Please enquire if you are interested. The castle is at the center of a small village, thus within walking distance there are restaurants, local bars, grocery store, dry cleaners, hair dressers, pharmacist, etc.
