The Tenuta Agriturismo Valdipiatta near Montepulciano is one of the major wine growing estates in the area, producing a selection of wines that are prized by wine lovers.
Guests can choose between three apartments: one which sleeps six and is located on the ground floor of the lovely stone farmhouse in which the estate’s owners live, the others which sleeps two in the various adjacent annexs. The farmhouse is an integral part of the Valdipiatta estate, one of the most prestigious of all producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and of other Super Tuscan wines.
The apartments are furnished with authentic period furniture, some recovered and restored from the estate’s own stock of original furniture, some consisting of pieces found in other homes in the area.
A long and scenic cypress-lined road connects the apartments to the working center of the estate. A garden and a small lake surrounded by willows frame the facilities for visitors in the atmosphere of silence and tranquility which characterizes the Tuscan countryside, far from the noise and bustle of cities and traffic.
The apartments are entirely surrounded by the estate’s vineyards and olive groves which give, in addition to wine, a highly regarded olive oil and an excellent Vino Nobile Grappa.
For Lunch and dinner we suggest "Antico Caffè Poliziano" and "...E lucevan Le Stelle", both located in the historic center of Montepulciano.

The apartment Mimi is entirely surrounded by the vineyards of the property, which also produces olive oil and an excellent Vino Nobile Grappa from the pomace of the wine.The apartment Mimi sleeps two and contains a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. The smaller apartment is an independent cottage about 30 meters from the main house. The whole setting gives the feeling of participating in the daily routine of a present-day Tuscan farm. |
