Details for Villa Gandolfo in Italy
Outside the villa and apartment are approached through a set of double gates with ample parking for cars and visitors’ cars. The villa grounds are large with a hedged lawn at the front, shaded by some large conifers with a bench strategically placed to afford some cool shade in the heat of the day.
The trullis enjoy their own terraces and gardens and overlook the peaceful meadow. Steps and a separate gentle curving slope lead through the terraced garden from the drive down to the large pool terrace, which is a real sheltered and private sun trap. The terrace is constructed of Indian stone, which makes a very safe non slip surface in this area.
The pool is large, 12m x 6m, and is lined so has a pleasant look and feel to it; Roman steps afford easy access into the shallow end and there is a 2.5m deep hopper at the other end to make diving possible. The pool has a heat retaining cover so the pool remains warm overnight so that you can enjoy a refreshing early morning dip.
