This fully equipped viletta is in Ossuccio, the most northerly place in Italy where olive trees grow successfully enough to produce olive oil (which you can purchase in nearby shops).  From the two balconies there are wonderful views of Lake Como, Isola Comacina, the only island on the lake and the mountains beyond.

There is one large bedroom with a double bed, but two sofa beds so the house can accommodate from 2 to 6 people.  It features a fireplace, telephone, TV, stereo,  full litchen, refrigerator, cooking utensils, and washer.  All linens are provided.

Ossuccio sits close to the foot of the 'valle Intelvi' a beautiful open valley which links Lake Como to Lake Lugano in Switzerland where you can find the City of Lugano, Campione D'italia, with it's famous "Casino" and lovely lake front walk.

It is a short distance from local shops and from Ossuccio there are several mountain walks to take, one very famous with the locals, to the sanctuary of 'The Maddona del Soccorso.'  The town of Lenno, a short walk away,  offers more shops.  In Lenno you will find the beautiful 'golfo di venere' one of the most beautiful prospect points on Lake Como.  Lenno is also home to the 'Villa Balbianello', a property belonging to the Italian National Trust.

Ossucio is about halfway along the western shores of Lake Como, very convenient for reaching every other point on the lake and also for getting to ski resorts, Milan for shopping and Como, to visit the silk factory outlets and to take a ride in the funicular railway to Brunate, to enjoy the views of the lake from the top.

We are only a 20 minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 25 minute drive away and of course Como is the silk capital of Italy, so there are many silk and6kms, 1 hours drive, so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix', or any other sporting or business events which you may wish to attend in Milan.

All travel information will be provided to guests booking as will a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineries in the area, local information, local bus and boat timetables, suggested boat trips.

It is also fifteen minutes drive away from Sting's villa and the "Villa Oleandra" the villa acquired from the Heinz family and George has often been seen along the lake, mixing with the local people.

The Villa Fontanella, once inhabited by Gianni Versacci is 20 minutes drive away.
