The villa has balconies on three sides, furnished with tables and chairs, where you can relax in the afternoon sun while enjoying the view. At the back of the villa is a large covered stone terrace and garden with lake and mountain views. Furnished with a table and chairs and BBQ, it the perfect place for al fresco dining! An interior parking garage is available for guests’ use at the villa. Guests may also park on the lower road.

Villa Andrea is in an area called Marena, just above the town of San Siro (formerly known as Santa Maria Rezzonico.) Conveniently located, a fifteen minute stroll down to the lake brings you to Rezzonico where you’ll find a medieval castle, as well as restaurants and shops. From there, it is only a five minutes walk to a lake beach, where you can enjoy a swim, or sample the local delicacies at the beach restaurant. The ferry terminal at Menaggio is only a 10 minute drive, where you can catch a ferry to other quaint Lake Como towns.

Villa Andrea is built on three levels; because the villa is built into the hillside, the middle floor is at ground level at the back of the villa. Access to the garage is from a private drive way, from there you enter the basement level. A grand stone entrance is on the side of house where you enter the middle floor, the main living space of the villa. At the heart of Villa Andera is an open great room that is composed of a living room, a dining room and a kitchen. The picture windows from the living/dining have panoramic views of the lake below, while the window in the kitchen overlooks the mountains behind the villa. In the living room, you’ll find a chic leather couch, positioned to take full advantage of the stunning view. The dining room has a table and chairs that seat eight people. The colorful kitchen is well-equipped for all of your cooking needs, and has a table and chairs for informal meals.

Also on the middle floor are three bedrooms; two with king beds and one with one twin bed. All three of these bedrooms have balconies from which guests can enjoy the beautiful view. In addition, there is one shared bathroom with a bathtub. Upstairs on the top floor are two bedrooms; one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds. Both have ensuite shower bathrooms. Besides the garage in the basement level, there is a shower/laundry room equipped with a washing machine.

With a backdrop of the Alps, luxuriant flora, and steep hills cascading to villas and gardens reflected in azure water, you can understand why the lakes of northern Italy are famous for their ethereal beauty. Located in Lombardy, the north central region of Italy, the Lakes District is the crown jewel in its northern-most reaches. Of all the lakes, Lake Como is the most heavenly romantic. From the earliest days of the Roman Empire, writers have praised its incomparable lush beauty. Castles and convents were built on its shores in the Middle Ages and villas in the Renaissance and 19th century Romantic period. When hotels were finally constructed, the area became the playground of the wealthy from all over Europe. Today, ferries, hydrofoils, and passenger ships crisscross the lake giving easy access to all of its treasures.

Besides the scenic beauty, there are historical and cultural sites of interest around Lake Como such as Duomo in Como, Como’s Piazza del Duomo and town hall, Basilica of Sant’Abbondio, Villa dell’Olmo, Villa d’Este hotel in Cernobbio, Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, and Villa Melzi in Bellagio.

Outdoor activities abound on or around the lake (such as bicycling, hiking, boating, fishing, golf, tennis, horseback riding, and tennis) and there are many places to rent equipment or to take a tour via float plane, helicopter, or boats.
