On the outskirts of the town of Sarzana, set in the countryside and surrounded by vineyards, the La Ghiaia Estate maintains the integrity of the original site, restored according to the canons of the ancient architecture.

The Tenuta Sarzana is a great place to stay to arrange visits to the Cinque Terre, Massa and Carrara, or on your way between Piemonte or the Lake District and Tuscany.

Guest are welcomed in five charming suites equipped with every comfort and elegantly furnished.

Each room, equipped with original traditional furniture, is different from the others; some are separate form the main building for a total privacy, while others are at the top floor of the main Villa even if they have private stairs.

All Suites and Junior Suites are composed by en suite bathroom, with bathtub and shower, living room, kitchen, panoramic terrace.

Room amenities include: air conditioning, satellite TV, fridge, safe, direct phone.

The vineyards, cultivated with organic systems and spanning five acres and a half, are planted with Vermentino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Vermentino Nero Massaretta, and Malvasia Bianca Albarola for wines that "scent of sea": Vermentino Atys, the Red Undicinodi and selection Vermentino Itha. A careful selection in the vineyard leads to the production of grapes for DOC Colli di Luni high quality wines, that visitors can buy directly at the estate in the cozy tasting room of the winery. We also produce extra virgin olive oil.
