A large private farmhouse on a large private farm estate, that’s Villa I Gelsi in a nutshell. One of many isolated, very solidly built farmhouses surrounded on all sides by rolling hillsides, cultivated and peaceful. Externally Villa I Gelsi looks like it always has, large, imposing, timeless - the only token of the modern age is its own brand new swimming pool. Inside the owner-architect has spared no expense in refurbishing the marvelous brick-corrugated ceilings, stone floors and walls.  Two and half kilometers away, and visible on one of the many hilltops, is Citta Sant’Angelo where all manner of shops, banks, bars and restaurants may be found. A mere fifteen minutes away are the long golden beaches of the Adriatic at Montesilvano Marina but, if it’s the hustle and bustle of a major Italian town you’re after, Pescara is only a little further on.

Location
Villa I Gelsi is located on an estate road, very quiet and underused. Main entrance is from a covered loggiato, ideal for alfesco meals with Abruzzo’s rolling hills as a backdrop.

Layout
Front door into a very long spacious room divided into three by arches and low walls: at one end the comfortable sitting room. In the middle, wall seating and the staircase to the first floor and, at the opposite end, the kitchen/dining area. Kitchen equipped with sink unit, hob, electric oven and fridge/freezer. This room is the central focus of the house and is delightfully atmospheric. Stone steps up to the first floor, at the top of which, a panoramic window and outside terrace with views. Long corridor off which is the accommodation. One double bedded room with en suite shower room, WC etc. One twin bedded room with shared en suite and small shower room, WC etc., shared with another twin bedded room.
