Located in the peaceful San
Niccolo district of Florence, a
less touristy area of Florence,
very close to the base of the
stairs that lead
to the famous Piazzale
Michelangelo with its fantastic
views of Florence, BevoVino
makes it the perfect place to
enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy
authentic Florentine life, music
and wine.
BevoVino, is not only a
great, warm and inviting
place to unwind but also to
sip some great wines, listen
to some soulful live local
musicians and satisfy your
hunger with a wide variety
of local rustic favourites,
what more could you ask for
in a local bistro? This is
the kind of place you would
take your friends to if THEY
were from out of town
visiting Florence and you
were a local.
There's a wide variety of
music played by
local musicians here on a
nightly basis, from
classical Tango sonatas to Tolonius
Monk Jazz ensembles, and rock
favourites, so the
atmosphere is variable but
always fun and always
lively. |

If I had to pick a genre or
two to describe this
establishment, I would say
it is chic-bohemian with a
splash of sophistication.
It's one of the few places
in Florence where you can
listen to live music free of
charge and for music
enthusiasts and artists
alike, this place is sure to
be a favourite.
The tapas menu features
something for everyone. Of
course you can find the usual
suspects, meats and cheeses, but
the owner, Claudio, is
constantly changing the menu to
ensure that his menu reflects
not only the season but also
food which pairs well with his
wines, after all, this is an enoteca bar. |

First, sit down and have a
refreshing glass of bubbly
Prosecco and a cheese plate and
take a load off. Now that your
thirst is quenched, acquaint
yourself with the extensive wine
list and absorb some of the
eclectic charm BevoVino offers.
You probably won’t find anything
else like it in Florence.
While you are enjoying your primi piatti (first plate in the
plural), take in some live local
talent. The shows usually start
around 8pm and last until you go
home. Showcasing live local
entertainment is something
Claudio prides himself on. The
tradition of supporting live
local artists has been the
cornerstone of San Niccolo for
decades and the Enoteca BevoVino
continues to uphold this
tradition and support Florentine
musicians and artists. The
performances are in both English
and Italian so you get the both
worlds when you come sip, eat
and listen.
With it’s tables close
together, the layout of the BevoVino lends itself perfectly
to mingling with the locals and
meeting new and old friends.
Don’t be shy to ask the people
at the table next to you what
there is to do in Florence. The
Florentines who frequent the
BevoVino are a kind and generous
people and always willing to
give some friendly advise and
suggestions of what to do when
you are planning your next
outing.
The enchanting façade of the
BevoVino reflects exactly what
you expect to find inside,
warmth, friendliness and
intimacy. If you find yourself
in the area, swing by the BevoVino, you won’t be
disappointed.
