This family run farm
sits on the Vernaccia
hills near the famous
Tuscan town, San
Gimignano, whose towers
rise in the background.
There are 10 nicely
furnished, but plain,
rooms. Seven of
the rooms are doubles, 1
is a triple (double bed
+ single) and one is a
quadruple (1 double, 2
singles). All the
bedrooms have their own
private bathroom.
The rooms are not air
conditioned, but in old
stone houses like this,
they remain cool in the
heat of summer.
The property can can be
rented as a villa for
large groups, but rooms
are also available on a
B&B basis. There
is a
common kitchen and
living room with fire
place. There is a
separate room for those
who want to watch TV.
Outside there are
terraces and gardens and
a large swimming pool
with chairs and tables.
If you rent the property
as a villa, it is
completely self-catering
(although the
proprietors can arrange
a cook for you).
Otherwise, breakfast is
available on a daily
basis, and will be
served outside on the
terrace, weather
permitting.
The farm produces the
white wine Vernaccia di
San Gimignano DOCG, two
types of red wine (Colli
Senesi DOC, Rosso di San
Gimignano IGT), grappa,
vinsanto and honey.
During autumn (october/november)
it is possible to
participate in the grape
and the olive
harvesting.
