The Acqua di Friso
Agriturismo is a
working farm
situated on a hill
over looking by the
sea and the
mountains in the
background on the
Ionian coast of
Calabria, a few
kilometers south of
Catanzaro Marina.
A sandy beach is
accessible by a path
through the farm
property to the sea
(or you can ask to
be shuttled to and
from the beach) and
it's just a 5 minute
walk tothe local
post-office, super
market, pharmacy,
train station, bus
statino, bank,
internet point and
other stores.
The property has
three cottages,
Arocha, Arethusa and
Aegle, hidden in a
pine forest above
the olive orchard.
From this rise above
the sea, guests can
enjoy breathtaking
view of the
Aragonese castle on
the sea (Le
Castella) and,
southwards, the
Punta Stilo
lighthouse.
Each air conditioned
cottage has
terracotta tiled
floors, wood beams,
and old style
furnishings typical
of the area.
The comfortable
bedrooms feature
wrought iron beds
with linen spreads
and hand embroidered
pillows; the windows
boast embroidered
curtains.
We organize trips to
the nearby
sea-marina
(sea-reserve) by a
glass bottom boat to
let you admire the
wonderful scenery:
wrecked ships and a
flora and a fauna
that are unique for
underwater swimmers
and isolated beaches
reachable only by
boat where you can
see the rare
sea-lilies.
