The museum at Altomonte is located at the height of the village in the old convent of the Santa Maria della Consolazione. 

It is open from 10AM until 1:00PM in the mornings and 5:00 to 8:00PM in the evenings. 

At present, they have no information in English, though the remains and their dates can be easily understood. 

They have numerous ruins that were located in 1999 surrounding the Noce River from the Bronze Age and Magna Graecia.  Most of the findings they believe come from the vast settlement on the river below the ancient village, between 450 and 540 A.D.

The museum is working hard at present, to provide English speaking visitors with further information.
